Let’s face it – we all spend a lot of time at work. In return for their hard work and dedication, Service Motor Company employees enjoy a generous benefit package, including:


  • Health - We offer a traditional plan ($1500 deductible) and a high deductible plan ($3000 deductible), allowing our employees to choose the plan that works best for them.
  • Dental - We offer two different plans to help keep those pearly whites bright!
  • Vision - Seeing is believing! Employees can choose between two vision plans based on their preferences.

  • Life - Voluntary coverage at a wide range of benefit levels is available for employees, their spouse, and/or their children.
  • Disability - Short-term disability coverage is available as an additional voluntary benefit.
  • Tools - That"s right, even tools! We offer tool insurance on our technicians’ personal tools to provide a little extra peace of mind.


  • 401(K) - Saving for retirement isn’t always easy, so we offer a 401(k) plan with a variety of funds to choose from, as well as traditional or Roth contribution options. We even have a financial advisor available to help employees make wise choices about their investments in the plan.
  • Health Savings Account - Employees enrolled in the high deductible health plan qualify for a health savings account.

  • Wage Increases - Who doesn’t want to make more money? We review wages regularly to make sure they are fair and competitive. We base wage increases on position, performance, and responsibility.
  • Bonus/Incentive Porgrams - Individual and group incentive plans are available based on position and meeting plan requirements.


  • Wellness Incentives - We believe that healthy employees are happy employees! We offer a wellness program for all employees as an extra incentive to live a healthy lifestyle.
  • Tobacco Cessation - We know if can be hard to kick the habit, so we hope that this incentive might help make it happen!
  • Employee Assistance Program - Emotional health is just as important as physical health. We round out our total wellness by providing an EAP for the issues that are impacting our employees’ emotional well-being.

  • Tele-medicine - Who has time to go to the doctor’s office anymore? Telemedicine services are available to all employees to provide on-demand phone consultations. The best part? The consultations are free to participating employees!
  • Safety Allowance - If our employees come to work with 10 fingers and 10 toes, we want them to go home that way. We have an annual allowance for every employee to use toward safety related items.
  • Leaves of Absence - We comply with the law when it comes to things like FMLA and military service, and we also have personal leave available in certain cases.


  • Paid Time Off/ PTO (FT) - We get it... sometimes our employees just need to get away. Depending on length of service, all full-time employees can earn up to 136 hours of PTO, beginning on day 1!
  • Holidays - Holidays are important to us, that’s why we’re closed on the 6 big ones. All employees get the day off, and our full-time employees get paid for it too!
  • Flexible Scheduling - We know everyone has a life outside of work. That’s why we’re willing to work with our employees’ schedules to adjust schedules around appointments, school conferences, or whatever else is going on.


  • Education Reimbursement - College can be expensive. We have a generous reimbursement program that can help out with that!
  • Training - We want to do our part to help our employees be successful. We have a wide variety of learning opportunities, including on-the-job, computer-based, and instructor-led training.
  • Personal Development Program - It"s been said that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Our employees can keep theirs sharp with our library of books on a wide variety of topics. We even offer an incentive to participate!

  • Performance Reviews - We believe that providing feedback is important. We are committed to letting our employees know how they’re doing, and giving them a chance to tell us how we’re doing!
  • Career Paths - When we say “make our family your home”, we want this to be more than just a job. We focus on creating careers and guiding employees on whatever path they choose.


  • Casual Fridays - While we believe that having a dress code and professional appearance are important, we also know that it’s nice to have a day to be a little more unique too. We can’t think of a better way to end the week!
  • Referral Bonus - Who knows who would make a great employee other than our current employees? Our referral bonus is available to all employees for each referral that gets hired.
  • Employee Discounts - Employees Work to make money, not spend it. We have generous employee discounts available on equipment, parts, and service.

  • Tool Programs - Tools are a pretty personal thing, so our technicians supply their own. We help offset the cost of their investment with a new hire tool purchase program and annual tool reimbursement allowances.
  • Recognition - We truly appreciate everything our employees contribute to the success of our company, and we try to give back to them whenever we can. Cookouts and free hats are pretty common around here!
